The 8th separate mountain assault battalion is a unit of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Created in May 2014 as a territorial defense battalion called "Podillia" from residents of the Chernivtsi region, after the combined military reformation in the fall of 2014, it became a motorized infantry battalion.
