53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade:

The 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh (53rd OMBr, military unit A0536, item B0927) is a military unit of the mechanized forces of Ukraine with a brigade size. The point of permanent deployment is the city of Severodonetsk and the city of Lysychansk, Luhansk region. Subordinate to the Operational Command "East".

The brigade was formed already after the beginning of the Russian aggression, in the fall of 2014. It included motorized infantry battalions, former territorial defense battalions.

The brigade bears the name of Volodymyr Monomakh, the Grand Duke of Kyiv, the ruler of Russia in the 12th century.
