Ukrainian Coin 5 Hryven 2024 "Parliamentarism" Booklet

The commemorative coin "Parliamentarism" is dedicated to the state's political system, an essential component of the country's democratic structure, based on the principles of popular representation, separation of powers, and the rule of law. In Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada is the sole legislative body. It forms the legislative framework, oversees the executive branch, and determines the strategic directions of national development. Currently, even under martial law, the Verkhovna Rada is working to improve the legislative framework, protect the state and citizens, and implement reforms aimed at changing ideological principles at all levels of life and advancing the country's progress toward European prosperity.

The obverse of the coin features the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine in the center of the composition. Stylized silhouettes of modern Ukrainians representing various social, age, and professional groups are depicted in the upper part surrounding the coat of arms. This embodies the idea of the diversity of the Ukrainian people and emphasizes that, in accordance with Article 3 of the Constitution of Ukraine, every citizen is the highest social value of our state. Between the silhouettes are the inscriptions: RIGHTS, FREEDOM, DEMOCRACY, HUMANITY, PROTECTION OF CLEANLINESS, PEOPLE, PARLIAMENTARIA, COUNTRY DEVELOPMENT, INCLUSIVITY, EQUALITY, EUROINTEGRATION, WONDERFUL INTEGRATION. Below the coat of arms is the information board, recognizable to all Ukrainians, used to display voting results in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada. Below it is the inscription UKRAINE and the year of minting—2024. On the left is the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine, and on the right is the denomination of 5 s.

The reverse of the coin features a stylized Ukrainian ornament around the circumference. The logo of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is placed on a mirrored background in the center of the composition.
